Euro steady after EU reaches deal on Cyprus bailout

The euro rose in early Monday trading hours, with Asian markets being the first to react to a deal  reached in Brussels by the Eurogroup on Cyprus. Euro lifted by optimism for solution to crisis in Cyprus

The euro rose against the dollar briefly breaking above $1.30 on Friday on optimism that a crisis in Europe may be averted.
